funeral home

Eulogy poem writing has found its niche as a specialty subject available in the World Wide Web through various bereavement focused sites. Grieving for the death of a loved one is a long process that takes time and acceptance.

General poems can be read during the eulogy by the person performing the funeral. In some cases, the deceased has already made their own funeral arrangements years prior to their death and perhaps they had details that they felt were important to include in their funeral. Another part of a good statement will describe some shared memories of the deceased.

In your speech, you can talk about the work that a deceased person did with their church or other religious organization, and share how they touched others lives. Poems ranging from heartfelt and sad to lighthearted and even funny have been written by amateur and professional poetry writers to put words to the feelings that are expressed after someone has died. It is most important to make the obituary personal by reflecting the real person.

Above all, remember to breathe. If you are gifted with the blessing and talent of writing poetry for the dead, share it.
