It is not necessary that a eulogy be a detailed summary of how the deceased person spent his life, but rather it can concentrate on particular positive situations or circumstances. Often your emotions are so stirred up that it can be very difficult to come up with words of condolence for those that need them.
When friends and family die, there is a void, an empty feeling that is hard to fill. And if cremation is something you choose, they will help you with the details surrounding the process. You may feel that you are too sad or that you don't have the skills to write and deliver an appropriately moving tribute at a funeral or memorial service.
In your speech, you can talk about the work that a deceased person did with their church or other religious organization, and share how they touched others lives. Your loved one is at home. Some people actually find it easier to stick to a theme, during the writing process, making it a bit easier for the words to flow.
Even though death is a sad event, eulogies should always be written in an uplifting and inspiring manner. Speak from the heart so that your sincerity will be reflected in your eulogy.
